Californian San Mai K390 Microclean
A premium San Mai billet designed for knife makers who demand extreme edge retention, durability, and cutting aggression.
This handcrafted laminated construction combines a high-performance Böhler K390 Microclean core with durable 440B stainless steel outer layers and nickel interlayers, creating an exceptional balance of toughness, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and premium aesthetics.
The K390 Microclean core is heat treated to 63–64 HRC, offering outstanding cutting performance, high impact strength, and superior resistance to abrasive wear, making it ideal for demanding high-performance knives.
Each billet undergoes an advanced two-stage cryogenic treatment in liquid nitrogen, improving carbide refinement, structural stability, and long-term edge performance.
